About Peter Arnell

New York b.1958

Peter Arnell has excelled in many fields: design, branding, communications, way-finding and graphics. He is a global thinker and considered to be so by many high profile organizations. Over the years, I have watched Peter apply his trade, as it were. And a lot of what he was doing in the early years was photography in the field of fashion. While he was shooting the models, he also made some very abstract quality photographs of legs, arms, torsos, mostly in black and white. They were beautiful. I also discovered during those days that he was taking pictures of the environment, of architecture, of people, of streets, of stuff. These he didn’t share with many people. That was his personal private note taking method. I encouraged him when I saw those photographs to take a personal vector in that direction and see where it goes. I found the photos rivetingly beautiful and exciting, as works of art in their own right. So after years of cajoling and begging, Peter has finally taken a baby step jump into the world of art, with this, the first exhibition of his personal photography. There are people who will equally enjoy and love what he is doing. Hopefully this show of his work will prove my point.
